Rachel Field

(1894 - 1942)

Rachel Lyman Field was an American novelist, poet, and children’s fiction writer. She is best known for the Newbery Medal-winning Hitty, Her First Hundred Years. Field also won a Newbery Honor award for Calico Bush.
