Gene Zion
(1913 - 1975)
Educated at the New School for Social Research and the Pratt Institute, Eugene (Gene) Zion was working for Conde Nast publications when he met and married Margaret Bloy Graham. He wrote several picture books illustrated by her, most famously the Harry the Dirty Dog series.
