Edward Everett Hale
(1822 - 1909)
A grand-nephew of the martyred patriot Nathan Hale, Edward Everett is best known as the author of The Man Without a Country. He was the brother of Lucretia Peabody Hale, author of The Peterkin Papers. He was an early practitioner of science fiction.
