Dick Martin
(1927 - 1990)
Dickinson Payne Martin was a successful commercial artist who was involved in many Oz projects, including the new covers issued in the 1960’s, and illustrated The Visitors from Oz. He was active in the International Wizard of Oz Club.

Tompy, a prep school drummer is blown to Oz by a hurricane where he meets the first American dog in space, a bull terrier named Yankee. They are soon swept up in the affairs of Oz and help rescue a kidnapped princess.
