Daniel Maclise
(1806 - 1870)
Daniel Maclise was an historical painter and portraitist from Cork. His enormous frescoes of The Meeting of Wellington and Blücher at Waterloo and The Death of Nelson were two of the most successful works commissioned for the Houses of Parliament.
