Illustrator

(1892 - 1967)

Ben Kutcher was born in Kiev, Russia. He came to the United States with his family at the age of ten and settled in Philadelphia. He studied art abroad, then returned to New York in 1915. Kutcher was something of a contradiction in that he was shy yet full of wit, expressive yet retiring from the public.
